Queer Britain Museum Visit

Friday 2nd February – 11 am – 1 pm
Meet at Castlehaven

Take a step back into history and onwards to empowerment with our walk from Camden to Kings Cross, to the Queer Britain Museum, the UK’s first and only LGBTQ+ museum. Following a stroll around the museum, we’ll explore literary legacies at Gay’s The Word, Britain’s oldest LGBT+ bookshop.

Cinema Screening: 'Bit'

Monday 5th February – 6 – 8 pm
Clarence Hall

Join us for a frighteningly good evening, at our Community Cinema in Clarence Hall, where we’ll be showing a free screening of the Queer Horror film ‘Bit’ (cert 15), which follows the story of Laurel, a teenage girl on summer vacation in Los Angeles as she battles to survive after befriending four queer feminist vampires.

Cinema Screening: Pride & Q&A with Mike Jackson

Join us again in our Community Cinema for another fantastic film screening. Based on a true story, Pride tells the story of lesbian and gay activists who in 1984 rallied to support families affected by the British miners’ strike. The screening will be followed with by a Q&A with one of the movement’s founding members, Mike Jackson.

LGBT+ Botany Workshop

Join our Environmental Project Assistant, Thea in exploring the intersections of nature, identities, and history of plants & flowers.

This free workshop offers participants not only knowledge but a unique space to engage, understand, and appreciate the beautiful diversity of nature.

The Black Cap Community Hub

Mondays – 6 – 9 pm | Castlehaven Kitchen Classroom

The Black Cap Community Hub is a weekly sober social hub for LGBTQ+ people and friends in Camden. Hosted by the Black Cap Community, each week, there are optional activities such as collage making, cooking or watching a film, with occasional visits from other organisations and free snacks and soft drinks.

This is a drop-in session, so come along anytime between 6 and 9 pm. More information about the hub is here.
