Community Spaces

Our Community Association has a rich history dating back to 1985. The association was established in Camden Town on a derelict site bombed during World War II.

Today, our four-acre community campus includes a dance studio, floodlit sports pitches, a community kitchen, gardens, and a horticulture hub. These facilities provide essential services and resources to over 10,000 people every year, transforming the once-derelict site into a vibrant and lively community space.

Community Centre

Our Community Centre is the beating heart of our community campus. Redeveloped in 2019, the centre has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious dance studio and functional meeting room, available for hire. It is the primary venue for our weekly programme of activities, services, and events.

Community Hub

The Community Hub is an extension of the centre, offering extra spaces for our activities and projects. It has a spacious garden and two rooms – The Devas Garden and The Castle Room, which are available to hire for events, workshops and parties. You can find out more about hiring our Community Hub and our other spaces here.

Clarence Hall

Built as part of the Clarence Way Estate in the 1960s, the Camden Council-owned Clarence Hall has recently undergone a renovation and is now managed by our Community Association.

With stunning parquet flooring, a built-in stage, cinema and zoom screens, Clarence Hall is the perfect space to host a variety of events, including weddings, parties, business functions, and performances. Learn more about hiring the space here.

Green Spaces

Community Park

Our Community Park is the largest green space in Camden Town and is a great place to relax, exercise and enjoy nature. It has a community orchard, basketball hoop, growing spaces, hundreds of plants and flowers, and welcoming places to sit. We also offer engaging workshops, regular gardening sessions and events for families and members of the community to explore nature together.

Astroturf Sports Pitches

Our floodlit astroturf sports pitches are ideal for a variety of sports, including 5-a-side football, 9-a-side football, hockey and netball. Whether you’re looking to practice with friends, colleagues or host a game, our sports pitch is the perfect choice to take your game to the next level.

The Horticulture Hub

The Horticultural Hub is a community space for volunteers, students and the local community to learn and practice gardening. It has a greenhouse and outdoor space with a wide variety of plants and herbs, perfect for sensory activities, small group teaching, and well-being sessions. It is the perfect place for anyone passionate about gardening and would like to learn more.

Elm Haven

Elm Haven is a unique space for the community to come together to grow fresh produce and learn more about gardening. The upper level of the garden is managed by our dedicated volunteer, Phil, who runs Community Gardening Sessions with a focus on food growing and therapeutic gardening on Mondays and Wednesdays mornings.
