Food Bank Support

Our Food Bank is a lifeline for the community. We are committed to providing essential food assistance but cannot achieve this alone. Without our dedicated volunteers’ time, energy, and commitment, we could not provide this vital service to our neighbours in need.

Whether you’re looking to volunteer regularly or on a one-off basis, we’re always looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand. As a Castlehaven Food Bank volunteer, you will help to feed over 200 people every week, join a team of like-minded people dedicated to fighting food poverty and make a real difference in the lives of local people.

“It feels like we’re making a difference”

Collect & Deliver Produce

We need drivers to collect donations from our local suppliers and deliver them back to our Food Bank in Camden Town on Wednesday mornings and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. We also deliver a small number of food parcels on a Thursday to people who are isolated, have a long-term illness or disability, or have no one to collect food for them. Drivers must have a full UK license without disqualifications and an insured car/van.

Administrative Support

Volunteering at our food bank doesn’t always involve hands-on tasks like packing or distributing food parcels. We also offer administrative work for volunteers who prefer to work behind the scenes, perfect for volunteers with limited availability or those who prefer to work in a quieter environment.
