Our onsite nursery, Littlehaven, has closed its doors.
The Littlehaven Nursery was set up in 2017 as a social enterprise to support our Community Association and to financially support vital services to Camden residents. It has been a lifeline for the Community Centre and local families for the last five years.
Unfortunately, the global pandemic and the national Early Years staff recruitment crisis have severely impacted Littlehaven’s ability to recruit and retain qualified and experienced staff. Coupled with the increasing cost of agency staff; the decline in registrations of children joining the nursery; increases in energy and building maintenance costs, and inflation affecting food and equipment prices make our nursery no longer viable. As a result of these multiple negative impacts, the Littlehaven Board of Directors felt they could longer guarantee the quality of service the children need.
We would like to thank all our staff and parents for their incredible hard work and support over the years. Seeing so many children learn, grow, and thrive in our nursery has been amazing. We wish all the children leaving the nursery a happy, healthy, fruitful future and will continue to look for new ways to raise funds and support our community centre.
