‘Tai Chi does not mean oriental wisdom or something exotic. It is the wisdom of your own senses, your own mind and body together as one.’
Our experienced tutor will guide you through a course of meditations and movements, teaching you to perform health-promoting exercises dating all the way back to 13th-century China. The class focuses on reducing stress and improving balance, posture and general mobility.
Sessions usually take place in our onsite Dance Studio, however online access has been made available for the month of January. This class caters to all abilities including complete beginners.
One member has said – ‘I have tried Tai Chi for short periods at various times over more than 20 years and I can honestly say that Shirley has been the best teacher I’ve ever had.’
Whilst another noted – ‘I have learned a lot more about the movements and my balance and flexibility have improved. Shirley picked up that I was having difficulty with my knee and gave me very good advice on how to look after it when doing Tai Ch – very personalized care.’
