Project: Castlehaven Community Association
Location: Zoom

To mark Black History Month, we will be amplifying black voices and celebrating historical figures. Join us for fascinating insight into composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor who was born down the road in Holborn. Samuel’s talent took him all the way to the White House in 1904 as a guest of Theodore Roosevelt – this was an achievement as it was extremely rare at the time for people of African descent to be granted permission to visit the White House.

There may even be a musical treat involved!

The talk will be delivered over Zoom by the incredibly knowledgeable Hilary Burrage.
