A tree will be planted in our community park to remember local nurse Pam Hibbs and all the Camden residents who have lost their lives to Covid-19.
Pam Hibbs (1935-2021) worked as a nurse, mostly in palliative and elderly care. Pam was passionate about improving the quality of patient care, and in 1986 she received an OBE for her work at Hackney Hospital and later received a CBE for her work at the Royal London. Pam deeply cared about local people and their needs. The local community and all her friends will sorely miss her.
Jemma would like the “memorial tree to be a place where people can go to remember Pam”. She also hopes “the tree will give fellow Camdenites somewhere local to remember loved ones lost to the COVID-19 pandemic”.
The tree will be situated next to a bench for anyone to sit and reflect. We hope it will become a special place to visit and remember for years to come.
