How We’re Helping Families During Lockdown

 Fri, April 24, 2020

These are challenging times for families, but we are here to help. School closures have forced parents across the country to become teachers as well as full time cares. Children of all ages are also struggling; it must be difficult not being allowed to visit friends or attend school. We miss hosting our enthusiastic families who got stuck into all the activities.

If you or your child is feeling overwhelmed please get in touch by calling 0207 485 3386 or emailing info@castlehaven.org.uk. Our Active Families Manager Sharin has been busy phoning our regular service users to check on their wellbeing. We are also in the process of arranging an after bed time Zoom chat for the families of Castlehaven. They miss the social aspect of our activities so we thought it would be fun to connect them once the children are tucked up in bed.

We also encourage you to send in activities you are currently enjoying during lockdown. This could be a piece of art or a fun family game. You can use the contact details provided above, or you can send your ideas via social media. Click the following links to access our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We recommend following these platforms for our latest news, useful local information and unique boredom fighting activities.

Stay safe and healthy and remember there are a huge number of organsations that can help, so please reach out if you need support.
