Grand opening of the Horticultural Hub

Grand opening of the Horticultural Hub

 Mon, October 09, 2017

Last week was a very special week for us at Castlehaven, as we had the grand opening of the Horticultural Hub on Wednesday, 4th October.

At the event, the Mayor of Camden Councillor, Richard Cotton, gave a speech thanking all who were involved in reclaiming and developing this piece of derelict land that was subject to anti-social behaviour and squatters for a number of years. He then cut the ribbon to officially open the Horticulture Hub; he presented a team of trusted volunteers, staff, business partners and funders with certificates of appreciation for all their time and support to this exciting project.

The Horticulture Hub is now open for the local community to get involved in and enjoy. To find out about all the new activities that are being held there, such as an over 60’s Gardening Club, Family Growing Together sessions and volunteer opportunities, also find out about our campaign Help the Hub and joining the Friends of CCA Parks.
