Feeding the Community Over Christmas

Feeding the Community Over Christmas

 Fri, November 27, 2020

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time of year for struggling individuals and families. The economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns will further exacerbate food insecurity within the borough of Camden. To support local people through the Christmas period we shall be handing out bumper food parcels that are designed to last until we reopen in January. The parcels will be packed full of nutritious food alongside treats and toys if you have children. The foodbank will be open Wednesday 23rd December instead of Thursday, the day the service usually operates. Phone lines will be open Monday 21st and 22nd December if you would like to request a bumper food parcel. Please ring 07776724099 to speak to a dedicated member of our food bank team. Castlehaven will be closed from Thursday 24th December until Monday 4th January, which is when the foodbank hotline will also resume taking calls.

We understand how challenging this time of year can be, so if you are struggling please contact us and as we can support you in a variety of ways, ranging from sourcing food to signposting you to other local charities. We are a community that looks out for each other, so please reach out.

If you'd like to help us feed the community please donate to the Castlehaven Foodbank Appeal
