Connected Community

 Mon, September 14, 2020

As a charity we are constantly adapting to provide services that benefit the community. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused us to rethink how we deliver activities to people in a safe manner. Throughout lockdown we hosted regular Zoom activities, covering a huge array of topics, ranging from Tai Chi to gardening.

Now the Community Centre is open to the public, we have resumed onsite activities, much to the joy of staff and service users. We are extremely sympathetic to concerns about entering a public building, especially if you are a vulnerable individual. That’s why we secured COVID-19 emergency funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This money will allow us to livestream onsite activities to people at home. We want the community to enjoy themselves in a safe and secure environment. Starting on Monday 14th September all onsite Ageactivity 60+ and Activ8 (8-13yrs) activities will be livestreamed. This is in addition to our solely digital sessions which cover Ageactivty 60+ and the Environment Project. Our calendar is the place to go to find up to date information regarding all Castlehaven happenings.

Those who do not have internet access will be given priority to the limited number of spaces available for onsite activities. This is to ensure inclusivity amongst those attending our sessions.

We are committed to delivering exciting and engaging activities, and we hope to see you online soon.
