As most of you know, Ageactivity 60+ takes a number of its members on monthly trips across London. These include spectacular visits to museums, galleries, historical landmarks, shows and even boat trips!
Our most recent outing was a boat trip from Westminster to Kew. Despite the miserable weather, we had a fantastic and enjoyable experience. The tour guide talked us through the history of some of London’s most historic landmarks, including the Palace of Westminster and 18th Century Chiswick House. He even shared some interesting facts with us, for example, how Michael Caine owns the 10th floor of a building in West Brompton. See below:
We cruised past areas like Vauxhall, Battersea, Putney, and Chiswick before finally entering the quiet and leafy suburb of Kew. Kew, although still in London, is a world away from the buzz of central London. Here we enjoyed breathing in fresh air, peace and quiet, which we all need from time to time.
We then made our way back to Camden Town on the Overground train.
Overall a great trip!
