‘A MoMENt for Me’ - Over 50yrs+ Male Carers Project

‘A MoMENt for Me’ - Over 50yrs+ Male Carers Project

 Wed, December 12, 2012

We have an exciting new pilot project called ‘A MoMENt for Me’ for 50yrs+ Male Carers living and caring for someone in Camden. The ‘A MoMENt for Me’ project will enable male carers to access free trips, advice and somewhere to meet peers. We will be organising with them a variety of breaks from their caring role, such as welfare and benefits advice, evening quiz night, a coach trip, one-to-one personal training sessions and male grooming experience plus lots more.

During ‘A MoMENt for Me’ project there will be a total of six activities that will happen between Jan-March 2013 which they may like to get involved with. Also they will be automatically signed up to CCA HELPS membership for free giving them more activities, trips, classes etc to enjoy throughout 2013-14.

We are working in partnership with NHS, Camden Council and the Camden Carers Centre, who will be on hand to give advice and support to those that require it throughout the project.

If you know of a man who is aged 50yrs+ and cares for someone either full time, part time or occasionally in the Borough of Camden then don’t hesitate to let them know about this great opportunity.

We need to reach up to 20 male carers by March 2013, and if we exceed this it will be great. So with your help and support we can reach those that need to enjoy a well earned and needed break.

PLease contact Tricia Richards or Rosa Walden for more information and how to refer someone or join yourself. on 0207 692 2238 or email tricia@castlehaven.org.uk or rosa@castlehaven.org.uk
